I don't think so either, at least not of what I've seen of them online. Steven seems pretty serious but not scary.

Oh yeah, I guess he was champion for like. A day. Real misguided hero-child, that one. It might've been interesting if he'd been able to keep the league without all the fathers-puppet-hand stuff.

None so far! Alder was chill and absent as far as I could tell but I was pretty young when he was still the champ, the hero siblings were.. well, heroes, and famous. And Iris was a kid when she became champion which maybe is a little ageist of me but she seemed sweet and excited, not intimidating.

I don't think I've ever actually been in the physical presence of any champion besides Unovas so my word isn't gospel. The current champion seems magnetic and a lot of people love him so!

Every Alola champion has been a little.. intense is the nice way of putting it.
