Putting the emo in epistemology.

Boro boy representing Brits in Vermont. Mostly football, some education, standardised testing and reading policy, some qual ranting.
I do think it’s been absolutely ages since we last had a player with a 9/10 match, lots of good performances but we’re really lacking a player who can just dominate a game like Simms did tonight #boro

The main takeaway from a personal perspective is that I managed to get a small Vermont bar rooting for the Boro at 3 in the afternoon. A personal achievement for the ages.

He’s carried himself with enormous dignity after being severely let down by the previous managerial team (my kingdom for an edit button)

Whittaker very obviously gives the ball away far too much despite his improvement, feels like a really easy win for Hellberg as a coaching opportunity #boro

If it was the first one in an unlucky chain I’d be more forgiving, but this is at least the third match he’s cost us three points in. We have other options who deserve a chance to show what they can do, plenty of players can press as much as him.

Yeah, I really struggle with it because I feel like I’ve been really on him this past few weeks and I’m also cognisant of it not becoming another Whittaker situation. But he also pretty clearly needs to be dropped and that’s been the case for several weeks.

Still steaming over the Conway miss tbh #boro

Got to take heart from the general performance, but until we sort the striker position out I don’t see how we move forward. #boro

Simms battered a makeshift defence, Ayling in particular really struggled with the pace and physicality, lost basically every aerial dual #boro

Conway is letting the team down. Simple as. Don’t mean to have a vendetta but it’s just screamingly obvious #boro
November 25, 2025 at 9:40 PM
I don’t mean to harp on it, but that was the whole game right there in that moment. Score and it’s all different #boro
November 25, 2025 at 9:34 PM
Well this one is all on him, just can’t be having that miss #boro
November 25, 2025 at 9:30 PM
Would much rather take the risk on someone like him than pull a Gerrard or O’Neil off the scrap heap, even if it does risk someone ending up way out of their depth #boro

Oh and also, lol enjoy that Wolves job, Rob Edwards. #boro

All in all, very frustrating given the standard of opposition and the other results mostly going our way. Pressure is on for the Cov game, but all it’s going to take is literally anyone starting to find the net and everything will change again. #boro

I haven’t seen anything about his absence yet but I get the impression that Ade doesn’t exactly fancy Strelec. I’m presuming his not being there is related to him being away on international duty, but it’s just a bit of a hunch. #boro

Conway is officially letting the team down at this point. Simply has to start scoring, running himself into the ground is great but 3 on target from 19 shots falls pretty squarely on his shoulders #boro
November 22, 2025 at 6:09 PM
Once again, the standard of refereeing in the championship remains atrocious. Must be at least the fifth stonewall penalty we’ve been denied this season. #boro

Nobody thinks that the SAT (or any standardised test) is perfect, but there's a good amount of research that it's often still more equitable than the random grab bag of stuff lots of institutions put in place instead.
