Making leap into EV with a multi car SFH household feels really easy compared to urbanites… it’s a shame Fords line up is so stale (tbf, not just an ev problem for them…)

Seems noisy and in line with term 1 gallop approval ratings early on?
December 23, 2025 at 2:41 AM
a bit of both; lots of think tanks/industry shops do copy/idea generation for what are essentially influencers like MattY

All contingent on markets continuing to go up… going to be fascinating to see which trade breaks the window

There’s 3 yrs to go, half of dc will be trump branded at this pace…
December 18, 2025 at 6:49 PM
ehm... sulzberger does appear in the emails a few times...
I wonder if Epstein is this unlimited conspiracy trove that penetrates previously insurmountable defenses as seen w/ Trump and now spreading. E.g. there's a daily list of (mostly valid) grievances against NYT but today feels more visceral than usual... and then go search "Sulzberger" in the files...

The fusion community will be convincing themselves that actually this is a net positive for their industry

so it’s like a free trail?

These were a challenge even in high oil price environment given the large upfront capex needs and high breakevens. Hard to see the investment working out with US shale dynamics acting as price ceiling.

in dc or caracas? 😬

need equity tailwinds to cooperate with you… not a given.

do you think the rigging would bother you more if you didnt benefit from it?

migration especially via TPS seemed to have funneled straight into the service/construction/mfg sectors that saw some of the biggest wage gains during inflation spike. no idea if it’s material contributor but always thought admin was constraint on immigration due to wage pressures as well
December 15, 2025 at 9:31 PM
always thought immigration impact on inflation is not considered enough - everyone says that dems should have done the obvious to reign in but what if reduced inflows would have exacerbated already high wages further

will overtake cost at the pump for the avg American household at this pace
Based on current trends, electricity cost will soon exceed gas expenditure for average American household - it helps that we don't pay for electricity in retail setting but hard to see how this doesn't turn into a more visceral political point heading into 2026+
December 15, 2025 at 4:54 PM
lol but his net worth is tied to the vesting not granting of (1) which is explicitly tied to rev/profit (or ebitda in his case) and level of (2) which again in turn somewhat loosely relates to revenues, albeit typically more skewed to the promise than realized levels
December 15, 2025 at 1:32 AM
not sure anyone has realized that 2026 is 3 weeks away…

the claim that grid-focused C&I solar is net positive requires us to assess the counter factual that these solar project would otherwise have not been developed had they been procured via utility vs. direct... there are instances where that's fair; is it the case in GA?

"$54 billion of debt commitments from Bank of America, Citi and Apollo Global Management" presumably there's a bunch more debt funding the Ellison equity ticket... thinking of aol, kinda impressive how this thing can keep on giving
December 8, 2025 at 2:27 PM
Given that they have a mountain of *secured* debt - all of it maturing ahead of this conv - does it really matter all that much if you call it “senior” or “junior” or “subordinated”

even in nyc finance there was big participation gap between drinking and then disappearing to do coke and tolerance for it v uneven. You have a massively deeper avail of legal stuff now via whts on paper medical but in practice rec/abusive and tech is just most salacious window into that trend
December 6, 2025 at 8:25 PM
I don’t have any direct exp but maybe reason tech (and my suburban neighbors) are so openly into ket (&adderall) seems bc they can get it legal (&safe from fentanyl) via telehealth~ like what med weed was like in CA etc 20 yrs ago. it’s this ”innovation” that’s driving use &mkt share I think?
December 6, 2025 at 8:18 PM
while cocaine use in finance is/was common, it was still recognized to be illicit & risk and I don’t think v common (in broad social / professional settings) at leadership lvls. What’s changed now is derisking of harder stuff but that tech is at center of this trend is somewhat circumstantial?
