Just checked out some fan footage on YouTube, and surprisingly both mics were fine in the stadium, just mute for the stream. FFS.
Might also explain why some vocals sounded quiet in the mix to me.
Bit disappointing that a large scale operation had that obvious an issue.

Then when Alice in Chains came on, much to my annoyance, Jerry’s mic was similarly silent.

Emphasis on the charity aspect, and Tony says they aren’t out there for the money. May be true, but I’m fairly sure Sharon is doing it for the money, and one last chance to milk the sabbath and Ozzy cow. Bet there’s all revenue streams planned for this and every angle will be covered.

With Sharon front and centre it reeks of a big payday. That said I’m in if the tickets are affordable, and if not, it’s a certainty live streaming options will be available and all manner of recorded media will follow.
