Got one of those last year in Japan. Only drawback is that at first glance they can be mistaken for a Yankees hat

The Dragons haven’t worn the “D” hat that looks like the Dodger’s spring training hat since 2003-ish. Their current hats have an interlocking C & D

Fun fact - Blazer managed the Hawks too. Off hand I think that he and Katsuya Nomura are the only guys who managed both teams.

Hiroshima Toyo Carp Legend. I read a couple books about the SPBA and IIRC one of the issues the league had was that some players treated it like an Old Timers game while others (especially the St Petersburg Pelicans) took it seriously

Jimmie Byington. Saw him do it for the Wilmington Blue Rocks in 1996. Second person is Hiroshi Takahashi, first player to do it in NPB

Every time you post something about Tokyo Stadium, I immediately think “But that ballpark’s been gone for 50 years!” The baseball stadium by that name was the home of the Daimai/Tokyo/Lotte Orions from 1962 to 1971.

Toronto will potentially host either Games 1,2,6&7 of the Series if they play LA and Games 3-5 if they play Milwaukee. I bring this up because I checked the MLB app today to see when the Series starts and saw that it gave the location of all the games as “TBD, United States, USA”. 1/2
