After some thought and consideration of circumstances, I have decided to pause the daily Three Random Cards (formerly known as What Does The Deck Say). Whether or not this is a short term hiatus or a permanent cessation has not been resolved yet. Much has changed since I began Noxporium in 2014, to include what resources I can dedicate to it and what I have received in response.

Noxporium will continue to be on break for the week of November 10, 2025. While things have improved, they have not advanced to the point where I can provide a proper service to you, dear reader. Even in the darkest of nights, there is a light that cannot be extinguished. Search for it, and you will find it all around you.

My apologies, but Noxporium is going to be on break for the week of November 3, 2025. Do take care of yourselves, stay hydrated, and don't forget to look at the good things you have in your life right now. I know it may not seem that way, but even in the darkest of nights, there is a light that can be seen. Search for it, and it will never leave you.

Today's cards: 7 of Roses, Black Joker, & 5 of Feathers. Unexamined devotion, though it may burn with the truest of intentions, can consume its wielder like any unchecked wildfire. Examine your motives and actions today. What is it that you are so loyal to, that you are willing to be the fuel for its pyre? Pull back and place that care in the container it should have been in this entire time.

Today's cards: Woman (29), Man (28), & Rider (1). It was on the low, but what goes low comes out high. Decide today what you want to do with the relationship. The only way to keep everyone, is to tell everyone, but even then, you only have so much influence over everyone else. There is no promise everything will work out to your advantage in the end, but there is promise of coming through some way, some how.

Today's cards: A green feather is above a clear glass filled with a red fluid against a yellow background, a blue feather is above a clear glass filled with a yellow fluid against a green background, and a blue feather is dangling from a yellow cord against a green background. You have been doing it this way on a regular basis.

Today's cards: 7 of Staves, 8 of Coins, & 3 of Cups. You're going to take the shot, then. Good luck. Some advice: Keep your focus. Don't assume that success is automatic. Once the work begins, keep your eye on it until it concludes. It won't take much for the work to slip sideways so be ready to correct. Today's cards: 5 of Coins, 6 of Swords, & The Pope. If you want things to be different, you are going to have to take the chance and do something different. If you want to change the world you live in, be it a different nation or a different roof, you are going to have to take the chance and do something differently to make it happen.

Today's cards: 7 of Clubs, 10 of Hearts, & 9 of Diamonds. It's okay to be scared. Really. It's okay to take a look at the good things in your life and be scared that you are going to lose them. Sit with that fear a bit, but don't act on it. Sit with it and examine it. Are there areas of concern that you can get help with?

Today's cards: Snake (7), Sun (31), & Heart (24). You started it, you finish it. But consider very carefully if you want that outcome before you begin because once the momentum kicks in, there isn't any stopping for love or money. You tell yourself that it's okay because you are not in a pledged relationship, that you're not the one "cheating", but is it really okay?

Today's cards: 6 of Clubs, 9 of Clubs, & Ace of Spades. These are hard times. As much as you have helped others, it's time to accept that help in return. Do not let your pride block you from not only seeing and accepting that help, but that you are in need of that help in the first place! These are hard times and they are going to get harder before they get better.

Today's cards: Death, Queen of Disks, & Balance. It's done. But moving on from it will be hard. Everyone is waiting for you to fall apart, to give up, to let someone else start making the decisions from now on, but that is the last thing you should do. Keep counsel only with your most trusted and let the world see only quiet determination.

Today's cards: 6 of Swords, The Empress (reversed), & 5 of Cups (reversed). You are correct in that you shouldn't stay, but you are incorrect about how and why to leave. Don't run in a panic for the nearest (visible) exit. Stand still for a hot minute and be honest with yourself not only about why you have to leave, but what you are about to take with you.

Today's cards: Queen of Diamonds, 3 of Diamonds, & Queen of Spades. Listen, you may want to sit this one out. Or at least get the opinions of some very close friends that you can be in complete confidence with. What seems like a perfect partnership is perfect to not only empty your personal resources, but to make you a object of someone else's play, and not in a good way.

Today's cards: Clouds (6), Key (33), & Bear (15). It's not going to make sense, even though the instructions are very clear. The important thing right now is to trust the process and keep to it. Double check yourself from time to time to make sure that you're not overdoing it or putting too much pressure on yourself, but once you start, don't let up.

Today's cards: 12 Copas, 10 Espadas, & 4 Bastos. Sometimes you have to save a fool from themselves. Sometimes you have to save yourself from a fool. Today it is going to be the latter. Don't place yourself in harm's way to protect someone from the consequences of their actions. Those consequences will seem extra rough and the fool is going to become wise one way or the other, so keep your head down and wait for the trial to end.

Today's cards: Queen of Wands (reversed), The Sun (reversed), & 5 of Cups. Stop. This isn't the time to be pushing yourself like that. Some wounds are still too raw and you have not given yourself time to even begin healing. No one likes to face their pain, much less the cause of that pain, but if you don't, the pain will increase until there is nothing else to see, or be.

Today's cards: 7 of Swords, 8 of Chalices, & The Magician. Your credentials said you had done the thing before, but you omitted how your contribution was limited to "an attempt was made". You may think you can just wing it once you get placed in charge, but the difference between group work and the task you have been handed is that there is no one to hand the work off to.

Today's cards: 10 of Hearts, 9 of Clubs, & Jack of Spades. Despite it all, things are going pretty well, so why are you unnerved? Because, despite it all, you know that things can sour at the drop of a hat. Rather than worry about if something is going to happen, take advantage of your secure position to prepare for…

Today's cards: Key (33), Mice (23), & Man (28). You already know what that person is up to and why. Stop trying to justify their actions when they contradict you at every opportunity. By continuing to stand up in their defense when you know they are defenseless, you do nothing to bring them to task and everything to drag you down with them.

Today's cards: Commitment, Scavenge, & Insight. So determined to do things "the right way", that you are overlooking a more effective method because it deviates just enough from the instructions. Look over those instructions with a critical eye. Are those instructions that way because it's the easiest way to explain something to the largest audience, or is it because the specific tools used in the process require specific ways of handling.

Today's cards: 8 of Chalices, 4 of Swords, & Knave of Chalices. Staying means learning the wrong lesson first, then learning the right lesson in a more painful way. You already knew that. It doesn't make leaving hurt any less when you had invested so much already. If there is any solace to be taken, it is that by leaving now, you now have more time to recover and to learn better ways to deal with this.

Today's cards: 9 of Cups, Knight of Wands (reversed), & 6 of Wands. It's not about how far are you willing to go for what you want, or how intense are you going to defend what you already have. Today, it's about how much are you going to appreciate what you already have and be content with it. Your treasures may not look like much of anything to anyone else, but you have a story for each book, trinket, and keepsake.

Today's cards: 2 of Hearts, 8 of Hearts, & 6 of Diamonds. Yes, the letter will not be welcome, but read it anyway. You already knew that something like it was coming, but what you don't know is how bad, or how not so bad things can get. Reading the letter and following the instructions will turn a calamitous demand into a minor inconvenience.

Today's cards: Anchor (35), Garden (20), & Paths (22). Any other time, having more than one way to do something would be viewed as a positive happenstance, but today, it's just one more pain in the ass to deal with. Once you do make your decision, you will be stuck with the process until the matter is concluded. Do not rush neither the decision nor the actual work just to get it done and over with, lest you are forced to do the work again to the standard it should have complied with the first time.
