Humira works for systemic inflammation. Not for localized inflammation. We don’t know what is driving the local inflammation.
If we are able to figure out the signature, we might know what is causing it and we might be able to make some targeted therapy.

It's not orphaned; it's just that there's not a lot of treatment for it except for pain mitigation strategies or joint replacement.
We are not there yet but that doesn't mean that we will never be there. There's been a lot in works; a lot of universities are working on microbiome signatures for OA
