Excited about the progress I've made on my HG Jegan! This is my first time doing anything but snap-building a kit. I only painted a few small details, but they've made a big difference! Can't wait to do panel lining and decals this week #NowokkiWIP

Very happy with this small change I made to my HG Jegan! The panels that flare out around the feet met in what I thought was kind of an awkward (not perfectly flush) and uninteresting way, so I made a few small snips. Love the new shape!

Thrift store trip paid off, these will be great for kit-bashing! Various non-specific-but-detailed shapes from a solar robot kit, and some nice mechanical details on a chopper.

Last weekend I made the long drive over to Gundam Pros, and it was well worth it! Grabbed a trio of HGs and I've already built two. The Mk II was the least "planned," but it's such a great kit! Got lots of supplies too, for Gunpla and for MG REX.

I enjoyed Yoda & Alt's Yokai guide, and yesterday at a secondhand book store I was lucky enough to find their book on Yurei. And during Obon season too, no less! 👻🪦

Been slowly but steadily working on my Marasai this week! Mostly focused on scribing right now, but I also got these bigger, better thrusters attached. Going for a post-Gryps Conflict suit that was re-tooled for ground combat. #NowokkiWIP

It's splayed out in pieces like that because I'm taking parts off to scribe, but it looks like it was just piloted by Jerid Messa.

It's very satisfying seeing all these pieces come together, even if I'm gonna have to take them apart again to paint eventually. It's been an exhausting week, but I'm pleased with the start of the radome arm!

A friend recently gave me some DnD miniatures she wasn't using, and some of them happen to be in-scale with REX, so I'm gonna turn this thief into Solid Snake. #NowokkiWIP

Also, the Dreissen is one of my favorite mobile suits in a while! There's no MG model of it, but I wonder if anyone's made any conversion kit for a Dom or something. Gonna have to learn more about where to find those.

Finally got these standing on their own! I'm not sure how reliably the armature wire will hold a pose yet, but if it slumps over time I'm fine with glueing the joints into place.

REX's head is going well! It has more fine details than the other parts, so I'm getting more chances to use various greebles. I'm also using some unwanted Gunpla joints for poseable pieces, like the jaw and the hip shields.

Next up is the head! Made a new paper template to re-size it to the scale of the other pieces. I wanna get this in place before starting the railgun and radome so I can ensure they aren't blocked by it later.

Pretty much done with everything that requires me to make bilaterally symmetrical copies, which is a relief.

Making great progress with REX! It's taking even more time and work than I expected, but I'm very happy with how it's coming along. I have three major parts left to make: The head, the radome, and the railgun. #NowokkiWIP

Had to laugh when ZZ ended episode 11 on this image of the Double Zeta dragging the headless shell of Zeta Gundam around. Feels a little on-the-nose! Not enjoying ZZ yet but I'm gonna Persist.

I'm glad I started this Metal Gear scratch build right before getting into Gunpla. I think it's gonna be great practice for making custom parts! Some of these would already pass for mobile suit bits if they were, like, 3x smaller.

New shots of my Canti scratch build. I made some improvements to the base, and now he feels complete! He's handmade mostly out of plastic trash and other scraps, with some parts made of paper, foam, and clay. #FLCL #NowokkiArt
