Stumbled on a Madness doco on YouTube last night. Having a Madness kind of morning. Saw them at Cloudland in Brisbane in ‘81 (or thereabouts), my recollection is that they were brilliant.

Rewatching Grosse Point Blank and thinking about how I could have gone to my (interstate) 45th high school reunion last weekend. That would have been really wild. Also 45 years! Yikes!!

This storm in a bra cup over the trans employee in a UK store offering to assist a TERF and her teen daughter. @eviljoy36.bsky.social took me to a mainstream bra maker for a proper fitting. The sizing was done in seconds, me fully clothed, completely accurate. No concerns that I was trans.

I feel as though Alien Earth just doesn’t have it. There’s moments here and there but after three episodes I’m kind of on the fence already.

OMG the DEVO doco on NITFLUX 🤯 and OMG I never realised their first album was produced by ENO on BOWIE’s suggestion and OMG all that archival footage of their early performances.

I saw Alien the first public session on opening day, somewhere in the dark a girl cried in terror. If my memory serves me right it was in the Paris Cinema on Albert Street, Brisbane.
Alien: Earth ep1 was okay but felt flat, thankfully ep2 was good. I hope that the rest of the series stays that way.

Interesting that Adrian Edmondson AKA Vyvyan from The Young Ones is in both the Star Wars and Alien universes. As is Timothy Olyphant.

A winter treat. My cat for most of the year would rather be adjacent to me, can’t stand being picked up, but once I wake up winter mornings they come and quietly ask with a tap of the paw to be let under the sheets to stay and snuggle there in a tent made with my legs.

Realising that there’s a lot of personal stuff I’m no longer gonna share on socials - private is no longer private as it’s still AI training fodder just as public is. The Seppos especially are gonna use your life against you should you travel there, I’m sure the Brits will follow shortly.
