A small piece I finished this weekend for the #blender52 weekly challenge. The prompt was organic. I wish I had more than a week on this .

Small update, I have isolated the top of the surfaces for extrusion. This just needed the main surface to be grouped. Now I just need to get the heat map to control the scale.

Testing out #Houdini. I’m trying to create a map visualising data. At the moment, I’ve scattered my cubes, but I’m just struggling to isolate the z scale transform for the extrusion. Any suggestions???

After a week of mulling it over I’m making some test runs for a small animation.

A good study on using programs such as blender and Substance painter for likeness. I enjoyued recreating the stencil for the displacement map on the Gramophone. It really brought a lot of the surface detail to the light.
