With clear eyes and an open mind, Tyger Jo can see more colors than most people will in their entire lives, especially when the world is so black and white.

Here is a London-set Tyger Tale, with multiple influences!

Keeper, directed by Osgood Perkins, is incredible. A Grimm fairy tale brought to startling life that will scare for a long time. So cool!

Even in the 90s, comics were woke

Art is by Kevin W. Stark and this piece was published in Freak Force #7 by Erik Larsen, Keith Giffen, and Victor Bridges

I love seeing what the library is selling for 2 bucks

I had a good time reading 5)3 Untamed by Sebastian A Jones and Peter Bergting, published by Stranger Comics. Old school revenge quest in a vast fantasy world. The art and fight scenes are gorgeously illustrated.

Curse of The Demon (1957) is a cool ass movie. Watched it for free on YouTube. Dana Andrews is the coolest guy I’ve ever seen in my life.

Heading to the airport and I was very happy to pass by this skeleton house on the way.

Sometimes the horror isn’t what hurts you. Sometimes it’s realizing you never belonged. Loved this story “How The Gods Bargain” by William Browning Spencer!

Reread Helen of Wyndhorn this morning. Still a gorgeous and heart-rending book about loss, fantasy, and how one heals the other or vice versa.

I hope @bilquis.bsky.social @tomking.bsky.social @matlopes.bsky.social create more books in this world, or at least more comics together. It’s all magical.

Reading a collection of modern Eerie Comics and found this wonderful story draw by @docshaner.bsky.social! So many cool techniques used, really capturing the desert feeling and existential dread.

The Leech is an incredible first novel by Hiron Ennes. A gothic horror set in a desolate winter kingdom in the post-post-apocalypse exploring social hierarchies and hive minds in fun, inventive ways. It’s like The Thing meets Withering Heights and I highly recommend it.

I’m surprised by how much I enjoyed The Boneyard (1991). The quirky characters. The wacky tone. The gnarly creature effects with the Kyoshi lol. Good time,

It feels like what you’d get asking Wes Anderson to make Gremlins.

Smile 2 is freaking amazing. Parker Finn makes a dramatic level up from the first film with a great lead in Naomi Scott and a genuinely bleak descent into madness. The smiling demon is an insane creation and deserves more.

The Beyond (1981) is very silly and nonsensical lol

The redhead getting her head blown off was the best part

Bloody Axe Wound is a very fun and queer horror comedy. The characters and central coming-of-age conflict really carry it as the overall structure and presentation is strange.

I love an artful slasher flick and MADMAN (1982) is very artful. Love the music the most and it’s accompanied by really pretty cinematography and colors.

While tabling at the Found:Re Fest, I bought books from my alley neighbors and found a Ren And Stimpy book by @danslott.bsky.social and Mike Kazaleh! What a great day.

Spree (2020) is insane. A 90 minute stare into the modern abyss of the Internet that will straight-up annihilate your soul if you rely on social media for your career or hobby. I need to lie down. Best found footage film of the 2020s.

I admire how fast The Deadly Spawn (1983) gets to the monsters and gore. Those effects and the monster design is impressive. There’s also a shot that I’m positive Steven Spielberg stole for Jurassic Park haha. Neat creature feature.
