Finally have the contact lenses in, these are a trial lens to see how I get on, already have a problem with the reading side of the lenses as they are not focused enough to read the text, I can see fine with them just reading any small text with the right eye being worst compared with the left 👁️👀

Two days running where the carers have come in to get my mom up washed and dressed but they have sat her on the bed before putting on a clean pad which then has marked the bed sheet and needs to be washed, to say I’m not happy is a understatement

Went to the opticians for what I thought was to pick up my contacts lenses, came away empty handed because I couldn’t get them into my eyes, to me the size was bigger than they use to be and they are much softer and kept folding or not coming off my finger when putting them in, back there Monday 👁️👀

The wardrobes have left the building and the company collecting them turned up in the slot booked, now they have gone it’s just a matter of sorting through my mom’s clothes and send away any items that don’t fit her anymore

So today I’ve booked for my mom’s old wardrobes to be taken away, time is between 8am-1pm and still no message from them about a time when they will get here for the collection, what’s the betting they turn up much later than the time slot specified ?

Carpet and the en-suite flooring is done, I’ve put back a few things and emptied out the old wardrobes that are being taken away on Monday, my mom has soooooo many clothes that need to be sorted and sent away, at the moment they are on the bedroom floor but when the wardrobes go I can move them………..

My mom’s bedroom carpet is being fitted then it’s the new flooring in her en-suite, going to be a busy weekend for me getting things back in place and sorting through all her clothes which no longer fit, just the new furniture to come and everything is done

Carpet is being fitted on Friday so today I have to move things around so the bedroom is empty, 2 triple wardrobes and a double are being taken away on Monday so they have been moved and clothes taken out doors off and drawers removed, new furniture is on order which might come before Christmas

Had my eye test today, comes around every two years and today I didn’t have to pay for it because I’m now at that age where it’s now free via the NHS, sight change in the right eye, I’m looking at trying contact lenses so back Thursday to see if they are available for me if not replacement glasses

So a hospital appointment had been scheduled for my mom which I knew nothing about, take her along and all they did was look in her ears and remove some wax, just didn’t see the point of whoever made this appointment as it took longer to get there than the appointment itself

The building work is all finished, plastering and painting is done, looking at it you wouldn’t know there was a problem before, next job is cleaning up and putting back the furniture but that’s on hold because of what happened to me the other day when I pulled a muscle on my right side

Ordered a shower chair and two grab rails for my mom, she had a small stool in the shower which wasn’t ideal as she could slip off when the carers are washing her, safety and comfort are priority 🧽🧼🚿👍
