After pushing her way through the bio-mechanical guts of the ancient star ship, she had finally reached its marrow.

A ghostly, flashing azure light greeted her and called to her.

Irresistibly drawn, *pulled*, she approached and reached out with her fingers...

The sinew holding together the Bridge of Souls was dangerously close to snapping.

Verlath the Depraved could be heard roaring his anticipation.

There was only one way to save it all.

With that last thought, she dove head first into the fiery abyss.

The church had been abandoned decades ago & walking past, I'd always admire its architecture.
It all changed the day I noticed a shadowy figure in one of its windows & I knew exactly who it was.
The past had come back to haunt our small town & we would all pay the price...

She licked the cobalt node & stuck it on to her right temple. It settled there, digging in with nano-teeth.

Relaxing in the pilot's couch, she switched on the trans-spatial-warp juice I.V., hooked into her spine.
