It has to be this guy.

Their name is Sleuth and they are fun because they are technically one half of my PC in a TTRPG campaign I'm playing, the other being their human partner/host.

They are aloof and jovial and it is a breath of fresh air among my PCs all of whom have been serious.

He's one man, and despite all the help Asteri and Tara give him he's still alone.

Took me all of 6 years to work the nerve, get over my own issues with how I draw and finally sketch my OCs.

I suppose adopting a new art style helped- one that was not very "realistic".

I refuse to let Bsky diminish this excerpt.

Maybe I just need to accept that I can't draw a human figure how I want to? Try something a bit more abstract?

But then my perfectionism kicks in and says "you can do it, you're just not trying hard enough" and then I don't even want to sketch anymore

Sketching people is so hard

I draw something mechanical or animalistic and my brain comprehends it no questions asked

I try drawing a human figure, or a human bust or a face and nothing I do makes sense or works

Even taking reference work for a self-portrait or something doesn't help

Oh the lethargy...

It's such a dangerous feeling

Trying something new, a new art style specifically.

Also listen to lazy cat by Eve, it's good music.
