Claude Sonnet 3.5 generated significantly better ideas for research papers than humans but when researchers tried executing the ideas the gap between human & AI idea quality vanished

Execution is a harder problem for AI. (Yet this is a better outcome for AI than I expected) arxiv.org/abs/2506.20803

Ok here's the theory so far for how the LLM-generated ARR submission experiment went down. Researchers generated papers, then created fake reviewer profiles by identifying existing papers from a real author st the set of papers would maximize expertise affinity score wrt the LLM-generated paper.

With an increasing number of Large *Audio* Models 🔊, which one do users like the most?

Introducing talkarena.org — an open platform where users speak to LAMs and receive text responses. Through open interaction, we focus on rankings based on user preferences rather than static benchmarks.
