The company I worked for only decided to move to a web-based platform after they found out that the iSeries operating system has an “object limit”. Every single entry is an “object”. It’s not the same as running out of memory on your hard drive, it just cannot count very high.

Former Systems Admin for a medical software company here! While black/green screen and white text may resemble MS DOS, this is actually a whole different thing from IBM called an “iSeries” or “AS/400”. It’s used a lot still because companies are very lazy, but they are super fast for their age.
