I would sandwich it - 1. I read your piece and it is wonderful and important. 2. I think the class would benefit from hearing it and be respectful. 3. But if you still don't want to share, I respect that. Just wanted to emphasize how I was struck by this beautiful writing

That is truly wild and that teacher is a blessing. I have had classes like that before, where the circumstances are not ideal but those particular students mix well are just so precious to me, I wouldn't change anything. I hope your son enjoys this year!

I grew up in an evangelical home and now no longer attend church but am still very close to my parents. We disagree on a lot of things but they always gave me space to figure out who I am as a person and have consistently been the kindest people I know.
