The Permanent Apportionment Act of 1929 in the House was the final nail. If states / districts actually represented the population if is highly unlikely MAGA exist in any meaningful way. The house is supposed to represent the populace, after ‘29 it favored the minority.

Imagine if the @nytimes.com published articles like this DURING the election! Infuriating how the legacy media fell lockstep into the same traps of 2015.
It’s almost like a dying media found a way to squeeze a little more profit in its last gasp.

I think about this quite often:

If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you.

Sometimes I daydream about Trump’s last term and think about how GREAT it would have been had Sen. Franken, who was responsible for sessions crash and burn, been able to continue.
I am a NY resident and I couldn’t hold my nose to vote for you. The only blank circle on my ballot.

I encourage you to read Jane Mayer’s piece on Franken.
Actual journalism by a top tier journalist.

While your feel-facts are fascinating, they just don’t hold up.

Clearly whatever Roger Stone says about a person becomes true. /s

Funny. Just posted similar.

Knee-jerk reactions to Roger Stone hit jobs are bedrock for weak dems. Remember Brooks Brothers riots? Dems folded.

Would be pretty great to have Franken as a senator right now…

Wouldn’t it be great if Franken was still a senator? Can you imagine if Gillibrand and Harris hadn’t fallen for Roger Stone’s hit job?!?

You win the internet today.

Yeah. We're all trying to find the guy who did this and give him a spanking.
December 11, 2024 at 7:49 PM
Of course they did.

Yeah, no.
I will never not criticize for voting against your own interests.
Low-information voters have perpetually screwed themselves and everyone around them my entire life.
The Dunning-Kruger has just been spectacular recently.

He could have been a foil and kept this from ever getting this far, but he didn’t.
McConnell is only interested in power and he sees his power slipping, that is why he NOW sees an issue.

I have been saying this for months, during the campaign.
It will be another example of playing by two sets of rules.
Rs will expand the court without a second thought. When your party isn’t interested in governing only power, these behaviors will be the outcome.

Researchers have been saying this for decades. I first remember reading about it 20 years ago.
It is unfortunate, not surprising, that it was allowed to flourish to the point it is now.
Unsurprising because America doesn’t take things seriously until they are already a huge problem.
December 6, 2024 at 1:05 PM
This is how I see it too. The rightward listing for decades now has made actual change feel impossible, as leadership tosses scraps to those pushing for progress. The death knell being flag pin nonsense and PATRIOT act subservience.
Freedom Fries anyone? 🍟

Playing out again right in front of us. Sotomayor travels with a Dr. because of medical issues.
Folks on the left & disability leaders rushing to her defense can’t see they are playing 2 different games with 2 sets of rules.

It is ALMOST like the investment class who own the media companies have an agenda.
Oh, right. Not paying their fair share - at all costs.
