I was reassured after listening to his post match interviews. He can clearly see the problems that we all can see and you can tell he’s not pleased with what he is seeing/getting.

Seems unlikely he stays beyond the summer. Will need a big shake up in the summer if we don’t go up.

I always liked the idea of Johnston as a DCM. Need to use that option more often.

May not apply in this case but generally we do seem to sign too many players with poor injury records. Then act surprised when they are injured🙄

He’s apparently done very well on loan. Been in and around the last couple of pre seasons. I’m very hopefully he is a first team player for us next season, unless we go up.

He was a good manager for us but should have left much sooner. It’s done neither side any good continuing after Huddersfield when he openly admitted he didn’t know what the problem was.

Technically making the playoffs and going up would be the way “back”. I don’t think however it would fully restore confidence from the fans which has been badly eroded by these no shows.

My Dad was a bus driver in the 80’s and 90’s and so I got to hear all about deregulation and why it didn’t make sense! You are moving in the right direction with an integrated transport plan 👍

We are not in the strongest position with apparently 18 months on his deal. May not happen, but can’t see a big offer turned down in that contract situation

Maybe Bownie is right and he is getting too much stick. After Wembley a strong start was needed and we got 4 points from 5 games. It was a long way back from that point. Points return from that point good but performances iffy!

Or an alternative assessment…. we were poor most of the game, the sending off really galvanized us and we turned it round

I agree, the way he plays needs confidence and he ain’t going to be able to maintain that in the championship. However I would like the dilemma right now of how to approach a championship season!

The only scenario IMO where the majority of fans are won back would be an impressive run of wins taking us into the top 2. It’s probably that simple and at the same time just as unlikely!

Assuming he is still the manager, I do wonder on Santos and Charles and if they will be moved on. Six and 18 months on their deals so unless they extend they must be available?
