Oh I get it! It’s part of the job! I hate it for both of us equally. I’m just at the point in my life where I’m just tired of having to fake friendliness 😅 Like they don’t care what I’m doing tonight, I don’t want to tell them anyway- why do we have to keep pretending!

I do dislike the awkward bit of banter afterwards as you’re paying the bill and they’re standing there waiting for you to be done with the machine.
“Any plans for the rest of the day/evening?”
“No not really.”

I was always told “they don’t happen here”.. and then we ended up having the largest one in Canadian history about an hour away from where I live. 😬 (Luckily I was a teenager by the point, but my concerns felt validated.)

I’ve always hated wind since I watched Reading Rainbow and learned about tornadoes 😭 Wind honestly ruins everything.

My trees are in my backyard so I just leave them alone (I’m the only one looking at them and I don’t mind them).
I’m also lazy, so I appreciate that for once my laziness is actually doing a good deed!

We do, thankfully! And it has been reasonable temperatures, at least, but the house cools off fast when the heat isn’t running (aka when sleeping or at work) 😭 But that’ll change soon 😕
Landlord may have been able to troubleshoot solution with a buddy on the phone (who used to do these things) so 🤞

Our furnace has been down for two weeks waiting for a part. Landlord calls the people and they have the part now! Can come today! And they did! And then it didn’t fix the problem! Then they came back! And that didn’t fix it, either!
