Good day. Stayed off Bluesky somewhat, worked on fine tuning printer, canned up some sweet potatoes, and tried making candied chestnuts/pecans…..my neck hurts like a mofo but ok otherwise…

I’m not sure at what point I will really feel “retired” it feels weird to say out loud, too. 59 in Feb. Maybe come spring it’ll feel normal. On second thought-I really dislike the idea of “normal” so fuck that. Raised our kids that way, too. Proudly weird Mom and Nana, I guess 🤣 At least Shadow DGAF

You know-you really feeling old when you buy black house shoes and can’t find them on your dark bedroom floor🤦🏼♀️ I had to toss my worn out red and beige shoes like this-got something pushing up through them-I had them for at least 4 yrs. Reminding myself NOT to buy these in black ever again…oy

One of the more special creatures in MT. Bighorn sheep ram. They get sick very easily and whole herds die off quickly. So when we see them (or go looking for them), it makes me happy

Have y’all ever heard of walking onions? One of my daughters has a wonderful 2nd year garden and sent my hubs home with a nice little stash of these. They rank right up there with fresh eggs from her place. We share our grinder with her and hubs and that daughter met up 80 mi away and swapped stuff
