vets said you wouldn't last long
and im grateful that you didn't pass away before our last meeting
we spent it together
you never were alone till the end
thanks for being in my life
i wouldn't survive without you
you were my reason to live
my everything, my greatest support in darkest times

you lived in love and care, you knew nothing but affection and adoration
you were something godlike
too wise, too understanding, too kind
you left being surrounded by loving hands
you were lying in my arms when we were outside breathing fresh night air for the last time
