Most Orthodox Jews will only buy processed foods with a certification they trust, regardless of ingredients. For many ultra-Orthodox communities, OU, the most common certification in the mainstream market, is not stringent enough.

Unfair to judge by kosher for Passover products, which at their best are substantially worse than regular kosher products. Also there's far less competition in the kosher market, and the certification industry is a racket.
