Presume these tyre marks are parents drifting their buggies on the way to nursery drop off. Can be a mad rush sometimes

Have never reported "back home" but anytime a close overtake has impeded an oncoming vehicle, the met have actioned for me

Afaik and important as to why retialers should be allowed to sell these at all, its not just illegal to use these on the public highway but also on any private land where there is a reasonable expectation to interact with members of the public. I.e. not just roads

Even these would seemingly result in many more charges of dangerous, causing injury by dangerous and causing death by dangerous driving if the decision was made only on this basis 🤷🏻‍♂️
As i said not the most useful input of mine without a solicitor or barrister to corroborate
October 27, 2025 at 3:32 PM
Someone will be able to correct of course
And the second problem is as others said, once before a jury a drugged up speeding driver would likely be deemed "dangerous" by an average jurist
Someone doing 45 in a 20 and texting just a momentary lapse
October 27, 2025 at 3:08 PM
The legislation isn't what the charging decisions are made on though
I dont remember the specifics but was given and explanation on twitter (have since deleted acct) that "dangerous" has to be behaviour that would be expected to cause significant injury or damage of significant monetary value

I do agree that buses standing at bus stops is almost always problematic- particularly as it puts cars on the wrong side of the road here and cyclists be told to get the f out of the way
There are 2 stands 1 mile apart here

The junctions are still bad this week however, when the rest of the roads on my commute are relatively free flowing as the private schools are already on half term.
The phasing makes no sense and ther was certainly no consideration to cyclists in the pedestrian and cycling improvemnts.
October 23, 2025 at 11:02 AM
It's an awful spot to cycle and the "improvement" works seemed to have been a complete waste of money and Lower Richmond Road to the bridge and vice versa is hopeless. (Especially bridge to turn right).
But the main problem as you say is too many cars.

They seem to have forgotten to include EPAC/EAPC which afaik trumps even the humble pedal cycle in terms of efficient use of energy

This says it all really (the top bit)
October 11, 2025 at 10:34 AM
Should certainly be everyone
Ridiculous that people can drive, self certifying that their vision is good when 2 yearly eye tests are ignored by about 13-19million adults

Imo there really is no excuse/ good reason to run a red light on a pedestrian crossing
In general idaho stopping a traffic junction is fine, but imo not sure crossing - see also zebras
Also - no mention of all the pedestrians crossing on red (imo that's fine)

A case in point perhaps...

A significant proportion seem to have no spacial awareness, poor observational skills +/- don't know or don't care about the rules of the road
It's more complex than that overall but imo a big part of the reason TFLs busses kill and hurt so many people

Looks fantastic
And good to see an ebike on a train
Any idea what regs they use to control the sale and use of spurious diy kits over there? I can't imagine they are tolerated?

This Cyclist was going ridiculously fast in a 20 and didn't even ring their bell to warm me of their approach
Sorry no, it was a driver
(In fairness it was a wide overtake and I was nowhere near 20 either)

Me too

Just needs to make some magnetic ones so they can be applied on the fly

Burger for breakfast anyone?
Guess steering with no hands wasn't in her skillset
March 13, 2025 at 12:01 PM
Not being silly at all, should have their license suspended for that imo (just a couple of months)
And a mandatory education course
You had to slow a lot to stay clear and I see lot of riders struggle to understand the danger high siders pose
