In Winter and early Spring the mango tree panicles emerge with tons of male and female flowers.

The flowers are very sensitive to fungus and powder mildew. Spraying is essential.

Eventually, the male flowers die back revealing little green orbs. Each of which is a baby mango. #Mango #UrbanFarm

Spring has sprung in Central Florida. The Brogdon Avocado tree is running wild. It may look crazy; but, odds are less than 5% of the flowers will bear fruit.

Quesabirria tacos courtesy of Aldi; with a bit of tweaks of course.

Pre-marinated Birria chuck roast into the crock pot along with 1 can RoTel, a thinly sliced yellow onion, a sliced jalapeño and 1 cup of beef broth. Cooked on high for 8 hours then shredded. Then off to the griddle. #Foodie #Aldi

Recent near freezing temperatures have kicked our UF SunLimes into bloom.

Finger limes are a citrus adjacent fruit native to Australia. About the size and shape of your thumb or larger. When sliced open and squeezed the citrus emerges as little pearls of citrus caviar. #Citrus #UrbanFarming

The recent near freezing temperatures in Central Florida had me a bit worried; but, with a bit of luck and no more cold snaps there shall be mangoes this Summer!
