I'm jealous their election cycle is only a month long. Congress' main job is campaigning/fundraising for elections. IMO that's part of why they're happy to push their job to POTUS--so they don't have to actually legislate.

One way you build expertise is by actually reading that stuff. I'm legitimately worried about the long term effects of that push.
