generally speaking very difficult to make that work in a two-man midfield and Bruno being best up top usually meant this was always going to be difficult, regardless of formation....mainoo almost perfect for like a psg type of midfield three imo...don't see us playing like that whatever happens

and more like allowed to dribble and get in the box....and oop mostly sit a bit, can't have him charging to win it because he doesn't have that up and down thing.... good defending in his own half/box

expected to challenge or continue upwards at the v least….instead, they’re trying to resolve issues that they might’ve been partly responsible for….it’s just too early with Amorim for me

I don’t think any of those things are a problem for the time being….I usually lose faith in a mgr when it feels like they’ll have to do way too much to change the situation…I believe every mgr we’ve have had could’ve changed the situation but they’re tryna do that during a period where they were…

With Amorim or anyone for that matter, I usually look at what were the conditions that allowed them to be a success…is there room to build those conditions/how much of an adjustment is necessary if those conditions aren’t met and if there’s time

I think the board have made their mind up on Amorim and whatever I think of Ratcliffe he’s right about the many players who are kinda on the books not actually being there in the first place

I do think 2-3 can change things if they are good…I don’t look at defence or getting the ball from back to front as a major issue right now….the minute we get to the final third, there’s really nothing bar maybe Bruno and Amad conjuring something or Garna on the break atm

And some of these guys play for teams that are relegated, fighting it and mid table….everyone was coming with anything better than Ten Hag and now anything better than Amorim….the cycle will go on unless something more fundamental changes

we should be better than some of the usual mid teams like Fulham Brentford maybe but I look at them think…well Jiminez and co are better than we have and so are Mbuemo etc we’re looking at Delap, Cunha, and Mbuemo because they’re better than what we have

I get that but I think the players aren’t good enough….it’s not like he’s not adjusted to what works for certain players like Case and Garna to a degree…my question is how much does adjusting to their strengths help when there’s a limit… the quality can’t really triumph the quality of the opp

it's one thing to not fill your teammates and fans with any belief...i think hojlund's in that camp....but another to not feel like you can ever really be relied upon....onana's in this one
