Stephen Colbert's program was the top-rated network late-night show though Q2 2025, casting considerable doubt on Paramount's claim that the cancelation was a "financial decision."

It will start with freight which is profit-making which will only make the railways seem more of a loss for the public, accelerating privatization. It’s also a massive setback from the point of view of our climate goals. Affordable mass transportation in a country our size is of global importance.
I saw this coming. The deliberate destruction of the Indian railways was shocking. As the luxury bullshit lines Modi touted found no consumers since that class, which is his base, flies instead, the strategy seems to have been to erode this vital public service instead. They will privatize it soon.

my nanoscience classes are so fun. instead of the traditional indian approach of scaring students to death by intense grading, the prof engages in discussion with the students, asks everyone if they understood, and gives us papers to read and write about as assignments <33
