My 5+ year old Ender 5+ was printing with significant Z banding. Replaced almost all of the original motion components, added Oldham couplers and POM nuts, and added thrust bearings to both lead screws. Still some minor ribbing but the periodic banding is gone! Before and after.

First thing I've been able to finish building in a very long time - EvilMadScientist's big 555. Actual LM555 for scale. The kit had been sitting on a shelf for many years. Will test it tomorrow.
