An excellent week. Finished chemo last Saturday, guarded optimism from my oncologist on Wednesday, a jolly 10 minutes yesterday with my surgeon yesterday ("see you in 8 months, then yearly") and the ultrasound of our next grandchild.
So I'm celebrating with the best tea in the world.

I had a recent conversation in which I declined to have my prostate examined. Not from shyness, or discomfort, but "I'm terribly sorry doctor, I no longer possess the necessary aperture".

What do you do when your surgeon tells you he's going to cut you a new one? You give the old one a farewell tour up the Ouseburn, of course! I've started at the Tyne Bar with Allerdale Red Squirrel, and I shall update as I go.

It has gone well. The children have been entertaining, the grandchild has been charming, Beloved's presents fit, and I have received many socks, a very nice bottle of Nikka whisky, and a scarf.
Pity about having to wear the Cone of Shame for being the first to lose at Exploding Kittens.
