Enthusiastically grumpy.
Sounds legit. Personally, I still believe the best management advice I ever got was reading dog training manuals.

What they are not telling you here is that you spend tons of money on school and then end up in an entry-level job at 40k/yr with loans, and then need to invest 10k in tools in the first year...
Or a manufacturer pays your school, and then you are indentured to them, and they treat you like shit.

I have had this experience with the Chicago PD in a similar situation.
Have you tried stopping into a station to make the report?
My experience has been that they tend to have trouble saying no in person.
Also, try the county sheriff if that is an option.
It is important to document it all.

Why is this suddenly news? Haven't they been doing that for years?

As a man soon to turn fifty, I am upset by this deeply relatable content.

It's easy to hold incredibly strong absolutist views when you have never thought about anything beyond the surface.
No issue is as simple as the extremes want to be.
Absolutists are either very dumb or have a very clear agenda.

That dude was such a shit-stain of a mayor, we were HAPPY to get Lori Lightfoot, a LITERAL cop.

I was a manager in my 20's, and an effective one at that.
I owned a business at 33.
This is the worst take; it says more about them.

Is it possible for the left to not eat itself?

He had several days of extra unhinged posting. Behavior very inline with some form of mental health crisis.

Helicopters can autorotate better than many fixed wing aircraft can glide...

I am right there with you.
There are many low-impact things people can do; and those who can should.
I just try to be conscious that not everyone has the capacity I, or others, have.

You are not wrong, but I am also not going to tell people who are overwhelmed and cannot handle the stress that what they are doing is 'not enough.'
Not everyone has the energy and strength to fight at street level.

It's just fear of any situation or person that is outside the bounds of what they are used to.
I live and work in the South Side of Chicago. I've been doing so for multiple deades at this point.
I am never thag keyed up and zero things have happened.

Dude, the HUGE company I work for fired like 15 people for their behavior over the course of a 3 day conference.

Everything was stuff that I still cannot believe people thought was OK.

Pricing is hard because different people place different values in stuff.
Just make sure you are getting a good rate for your time.

My opinion no original art should be under 40-50 bucks and 100 is a good number.

Those were a pretty underwhelming aircraft.
The gear drive added a lot of cost and complexity and it had a pretty low overhaul interval.

I have had this happen, it is devastating.

As somebody who does not like but doesn't dislike a lot of things I appreciate people who understand the nuance between the two feelings.

I do this about once every 2-3 days and it destroys my self worth for 2-3days...
