'Human Wheels' is a seriously underrated album. Feels to me like something shifts in Mellencamp as a songwriter on that one, and every release that follows builds on that change.

Outside of Ferguson's performance, which was a standout, I found the film hard to enjoy, for exactly the same reasons you've mentioned here.

I've never forgotten this scene from the Imagine documentary. It confirms, I think, what you've written. Lennon could be all kinds of awful, but he was equal parts compassionate.

Saw it today in a huge IMAX theater, early enough that there were maybe 50 people there. Felt like I was alone. Very much worth seeing.
