Our 18yo Sansung Plasma TV is finally being replaced tomorrow.
The new LED one uses much less power and puts out much less heat, so I feel zero guilt.

My partners GMail account was 99% full.
I suggested she delete any attachments >5MB ie photos.
It's still 95% full as she hasn't deleted much, but at least her email works at present.
Unsure about your issue, good luck!

"tutting ruefully" - not something known to 'mericans.
Like "irony" or "hipocrisy".

I've got almost 4000 photos up on Flickr.
Glad I downloaded all of them a few months ago as backup.

They also produced slide projector lenses in Portugal.

Pentax MX + SMC-M 50mm f1.7
The Pentax MX and Olympus OM-2n just feel best to me, although Nikon FM2n comes closest to ideal.

Time to give it a clean and find a nice place on a shelf for it.
Move on to an FG - electronic but later and more reliable.

If you've confirmed that your secondary light meter is accurate and still getting dark images then yes, it's probably only shooting at 1/250sec regardless.
The LCD display should stay visible for 16 secs after removing your finger, if battery is ok.
If not happening, the electronics are not powered.

Also, as per manual:
If you have no/flat battery, the shutter can use 1/250sec speed as this is a mechanical fallback.

I have two Nikon FA's; an early one and a late one (based on serial nos).
On the early one, Matrix Metering doesn't work at all, but Centre Weighted works great.
On the late one, Matrix Metering works but is 2-3 stops different to a good Gossen Lunasix F meter.
Conclusion: Ignore MM and use CW only!

I hope you guys can get your country back from these Project 2025 bastards.
Good luck.

Feel free to keep in touch.
I'm retired and tend to be a bit of a home body these days.
Note that I live in the south.
South Australia, that is - and it's now 10pm.

They have a charm of their own.
No more room for more of them!
