As TB spread in the north & then in Prince Albert & Saskatoon, the SK govt stopped reporting not just TB, but all communicable disease statistics. The last yearly SK communicable disease report, for 2016, was published in 2018. 12/

Over the same time period the 🇨🇦 new case rate of TB/100,000 people stayed flat at about 5. But the similar rate among northern SK First Nation children on reserve in 2022 was ~400, *~80* times the average rate across Canada for all ages. 11/

In 2023 SK had the highest rate of new TB cases per capita of 🇨🇦’s provinces. The rate is climbing, especially rapidly among children. Worse, Saskatchewan’s 12-year-old TB control strategy doesn’t publicly report its outcomes & SK has not reported TB data since 2016. 2/
