Delian Tomb has long been my go-to. Always works well and can go anywhere afterwards!

I love them both, but they are for different audiences. I am currently running a Draw Steel game for some friends to introduce them to it and it is going swimmingly! I don't know if it would be as much of a hit with my other groups... I notice I tell different stories with each system, though!

I do like it, but I have found that Draw Steel and Daggerheart fit a little better for my running styles. Though, each system works better for different groups.

I've almost left PF2e for Draw Steel and Daggerheart. I have one more obligation to finish running a PF2e campaign, then Iay give it up for good.

I feel that to my bones...

Having played Draw Steel, I think it refines what 4e did in an elegant way. It also steps away from the d20 systems a bit and offers a different way to tell my stories in a way that resonates with my style. Worth a try, but if you are happy with you got, more power to you.

Reciprocate, you are supposed to reciprocate! 😜

It was a success! The Fury almost died, but the Tactician kept him alive so he could let those bandits meet their God!

Thanks, buddy! I'm sure they will have fun!

Maybe it's not for you and that is okay. Sorry it gave you a bad experience, though....

I feel like that is largely because both have big nods to 4e, while 5e seems try to move away from its 4e predecessor.

I agree. For a while, I felt that Daggerheart was going to be my go-to system. Then on a recent vacation to Japan I realized Draw Steel was a better system for certain stories. Now I love both equally and am gearing up to run my first Draw Steel game since the playtest!

I have long found that D&D adventures are always better when used as inspiration and reference. I never try to run them as written anymore. Good luck! You got this!

Getting JoJo's Bizarre Adventure vibes ... Love it! I just made my Chrono Null! Za warudo!

I am so excited .. I originally had this idea for 5e, but it never crystallized. I briefly thought of running it with Daggerheart, but Daggerheart doesn't handle martial arts well in my opinion...

I know. I haven't played since the playtest but now I am thinking about running an adventure with a Tenkaichi-style tournament as a backdrop. Instead of individual matches, run it as a montage a la Bloodsport or Karate Kid! I think it could really work, and if a PC wins, I can bestow a title!

In my opinion, it is when the rules don't screech the story to a halt, but are easily adjudicated or interpreted in a descriptive way...

Colville makes no bones about it being a game about fighting monsters, so yeah, fairly combat focused. However, with a robust negotiation, montage, and downtime series of systems, it offers quite a few noncombat options! It also has provisions for defeating an encounter without killing everything.

We played back in the play test and my players liked it. It seems to have a powerful first level, so you feel like heroes right off the bat. It is actually closer to 4e or Pathfinder in terms of tactical play, utilizing maps and battlefield control.
