Hear hear. I really enjoy Mass Effect-style choices where the prompts don't perfectly explain their outcomes, and sometimes even feel like malicious compliance with my instructions. The gap between what I prompt and what my character does is their fundamental personality. That's cool!

This is a boy that cried wolf thing - when they caved in March, Dems tried to make it look like this but it was all an act and the Yes votes were taking heat for the nominal Nos. This time the dynamic is apparently real but it's hard to blame the skeptics.

to a native English-speaker, "My Hero Academia" doesn't convey well because "My Hero!" is something that a damsel in distress says to like, Flash Gordon. "Academia" not exactly in common use for its meaning here either. Just because it's faithful to the original doesn't make it a good English title.

now the GOP sees a 1-year extension will start getting headlines before the midterms, they have to push it further out. another month is what they're aiming at here. or maybe not, who knows, but that's my guess.

Scalia was a pretty unflappable guy in public life, but he'd get upset when people would bring up Bush v. Gore, believe he'd say that they need to "get over it". Getting over it is just another way of saying "let me get away with it" and I don't want them to get away with it.
