I mean, framing LLMs in terms of error rates and expected values lets their utility be quantified in a way that can be put into investor slideshows to justify not using them, and I’d argue that’s a very useful use case

Trump was impeached during ‘business as usual’, so congress’s incentive structure produced predictable party-line behavior. The more unstable Trump makes things, the riskier and less reliable those incentives get, and it only takes a few defectors

Most of us aren't, we're just gerrymandered and failed by our representatives. The ones who are opposed typically lived through the cold war and got hit with metric tons of propaganda telling them the government using tax money to help people is evil communism.
