I didnt fall head over heels in love with this movie like a lot of people did, imo the third act is a lil sloppy, the action kinda sucks and theres some filmmaking stuff that bothers me, but I still overall really enjoyed it, and also just like seeing a blockbuster be about something

Pretty good, not mindblowing for me, though I really felt the series picking up towards the end. While sometimes skimping on the hyperdetail of the manga, I think the anime is oftentimes gorgeous enough to overlook that.

I have an irrational, psychotic fucking hatred for this needler design. It feels like 343's approach to Halo, boiled down to one image: applying a bunch of needless shit to something elegant and intuitive to try and broaden the appeal of what was once a cultural monolith.

Is it shallow? Is it insanely linear? Is it kinda skungy? Yes, to all of these, but goddamnit, it has soul, it has character, and it has a fuckin vibe, plus, it is pretty fun to just blow everything up with your guns. Plus it's only like 2 hours long.

Hands down one of the greatest remakes in video games, I think this perfectly expands the narrative and design of Dead Space in ways that are almost all positive. The original will always have a special place in my heart, and this does it justice
