posting nothing of value. watching all the movies
Interesting, will the reboot still be a podcast or can't delve into it just yet?

Keen either way, I love Bullet Time!

With an Alien(s) shirt on too?! Chill Josh 😤

Agreed, I think the sparse dialogue really works. I found it really compelling whenever Shaw talked about his wife and family throughout. Plus you get the excellent contrast with McDowell's character's life. The premise and the fact it exists just amazes me lol

I only know about this because David Lynch gave Tim props for his portrayal of Vincent in the making-of doc for Twin Peaks The Return. I didn't even realise it was an Altman project!! I'm keen to watch, thanks for sharing!

I watched this last night based on this post plus the Robert Shaw/Malcolm McDowell combo. Within 20 min of finishing this glorious movie I ordered a copy of the French bluray that came out a few years ago. Man this movie rocks

Oh hell yeah! I cannot resist a Michael Mann film in 4K.

Also genuinely did not expect Night Moves either!

Really keen to listen to this! It's a shame there's not more Rare developed FPS titles to do a whole Rare season on. I do find them fascinating as a company.

and ever since AJ Maddah ran Soundwave into the ground, we've been thirsting for good festivals in Aus ever since.

banger thumbnails of course. But let's not forget the art-form that is BulletTime

This perfectly explains the draw this film has on me. Despite having seen it twice, I would watch it again. The combination of Morris' film-making, the Glass score and the harrowing reality of the film is unlike anything else. 'Documentary noir' is spot on, fantastic article!

This person should legitimately take their own post and show it to a therapist, because lmao wow.

Right? It's a comical amount of remasters. I think its mainly due to the copyright division of the band's catalog between US/UK. Each side did their own remasters. I fully agree on the new Martin era remasters though, well overdue! I've not heard the 2014 Ozzy ones. I need to check em out, good tip!
November 13, 2024 at 2:03 AM
agreed. Another one that springs to mind are the 2009 era UK remasters of Black Sabbath’s main catalogue. Heaven and Hell in particular is one of the best remasters I’ve ever heard. It sounds less murky as the original but has very nice dynamics, no heavy compression at all.

Oh, it does too! I've never used Universal Scrobbler... Good to know also!

They are legally obliged to make all aspects of COD games hideous. Including the UI!
November 12, 2024 at 3:45 AM
Instead of the CSV format there's always Open Scrobbler, it let's you search the discogs database to then scrobble stuff. openscrobbler.com Unless of course you are already heavily invested in CSVs, in which case carry on!

That's a common sentiment I've heard with Unraid, so I can understand that. Though I am a big fan of Unraid, I can appreciate its not everyone's cup of tea. I am nonetheless very interested to read about what you end up doing! I've not tried TrueNAS at all so I'm curious as to how it is

The SSD Cache drives go a long way for initial writes to the array. I generally only have issues when the server is busy doing something process heavy and I’m also impatiently trying to open something off a share. Even that doesn’t happen that often

Unraid time??

Oh HELL yeah, Joe's back! I will also never tire of this bizarro movie. Thank you(?) mr dan aykroyd
