I didn't say anything even slightly arguing that. I said that my two degrees in English Lit made it so that conversations with the confidentiality uninformed didn't upset me. Because that's what a good 11 years of my life was.

So? That's not the argument. The age of a term does not in any way explain how old a concept is. Autism is a relatively new term. Doesn't mean we didn't exist before 1943.
