You’re choosing not to give Dems a fighting chance in this race by nominating the candidate with the worse odds.
December 13, 2025 at 9:50 PM
Do you really think Crockett is the progressive candidate here ? She’s a pretty generic liberal democrat. Her and Talarico are ideologically similar. If anything he’s more progressive than her on Israel.

The difference is mostly in presentation.
December 13, 2025 at 9:19 PM
Yes ? Her house district was the bluest in all of Texas I’m pretty sure.

I’m talking about Democrats who won in Republican districts and vice-versa.
December 13, 2025 at 9:09 PM
You do understand that Crockett backed by the Dallas establishment and the state party leadership ? She’s not some revolutionary new thing, she’s the continuation.

Please, name one politician who won a district of the opposite partisan lean without being a centrist.
December 13, 2025 at 8:23 PM
Name one politician currently in office, either Dem or Rep, who won in a constituency of the opposite partisan lean without breaking party line.
December 13, 2025 at 6:01 PM
Beto came within 2 points of winning the last time there was a Trump midterms.

If Paxton is the GOP nominee and if the economy continues to worsen, this election is far from out of reach.
December 13, 2025 at 5:58 PM
I don’t think Mamdani would win in Texas actually.

Every single Dem or Rep representing a constituency of the opposite partisan lean is a DINO/RINO to some extent. You can’t win Texas as a Dem with turnout alone. That’s what Texas Dems have been trying to do for 20 years and it hasn’t worked once.
December 13, 2025 at 5:56 PM
What ? Everyone knew Obama was going to win against McCain. It was the middle of the Great Recession.
December 13, 2025 at 5:54 PM
You choose not to fight by nominating the candidate with the worst chance of winning the general election.

The GOP can’t dream of a better gift than you voting for Crockett in the primary.

My account is over a year old. I just don’t use Bluesky a lot. Don’t dismiss anyone as a troll just because they disagree with your narrative.
December 10, 2025 at 6:43 AM
You don’t shoot yourself in the foot just for the sake of trying something new. This isn’t about Crockett being black, it’s about her approval ratings being in the gutter and her performing horribly in the polls.

And yes, Beto had a very good chance and came very close to winning.
December 10, 2025 at 6:41 AM
You’re being very weird
December 10, 2025 at 12:27 AM
What ?
December 10, 2025 at 12:05 AM
Primary voters can often choose a candidate who only pleases the base but doesn’t appeal to anyone outside of the party. That’s a big reason republicans lost 2022.
December 9, 2025 at 3:41 PM
Primaries don’t work like that. There’s more that one example of primary voters selecting a weak candidate who got destroyed in the general election.
December 9, 2025 at 3:30 PM
Crockett will drive up the Republican vote! She’s hated!Talarico is more palatable.

You’re delusional if you think Crockett can win by running like it’s a blue state.

Ken Paxton is gonna be Senator because of people like you. Don’t come crying when Crockett loses. I hope you’re proud of yourself.
December 9, 2025 at 2:11 PM
The MAGA crowd is barely a third of the Texas electorate. You’re delusional if you think everyone who voted Trump in 2024 is hardcore MAGA.
December 9, 2025 at 2:09 PM
I do have evidence it’s called ‘literally any poll’.

What universe do you live in ??? People do switch their votes. That’s how elections are won. That’s how constituencies flip. You don’t win an election in TEXAS, a state Trump won by 14 points, with Dems alone.

You do understand that primaries don’t necessarily end with the strongest candidate right ?

Look at how the Republicans lost 2022 by choosing hardcore MAGA candidates who didn’t appeal to anyone outside of the party.

You can’t win an election in Texas with Democrats alone.
December 9, 2025 at 1:49 PM
Crockett will lose the general election. How can nobody here see this ? Do you not know how any this works ? Or are you a Republican plant ?

Talarico can beat Paxton, Crockett can’t.
December 9, 2025 at 1:47 PM
You’re an incredibly selfish person. Throwing away the slim chances Democrats had for the sake of your ego. You know you can’t win. This vanity run will only end with Senator Paxton. I hope you can sleep soundly at night knowing about all of the harm that will come from this decision.
December 9, 2025 at 1:45 PM
It’s not about that. It’s about whether or not she can even win in the first place.

Talarico at least has a chance. Crockett will only deliver us Senator Paxton on a silver platter. You do understand that Texas is a red state right ? You can’t win with that strategy.
