The common people are familiar with/have had health plans that require a PCP visit before they can be referred to a specialist.

And there are already on-call/private/members-only doctors, dentists, psych, and surgical practices.

Why are we pretending this isn't already the American system?

That's the fun thing: she doesn't. She may need former Trump voters but she does not need the Trump faithful who will just blindly vote for Paxton/Cornyn/Hunt anyway. Texas is less than 40% white now. She just needs to win disillusioned latino voters and have higher turnout than 2024 for the rest.

Sigh. Anyways, here is me with former/future House Rep. Colin Allred in Corpus last year. Fly high.

It's become obvious the "vibe shift" was manufactured (11/4 elex, box office flops, etc); it's obvious that she's just trying to curry favor again before she is labeled box office poison.

Her statement is an attempt at placation. She only regrets that her production company lost money on Christy.

From what I can parse, the GQ interview was filmed in September, post-Charlie, around the time of mass firings and attempted deification.

SS is from Idaho. Her family is MAGA. She is a registered Republican. She thought those vibes were forever. No one around her was telling her they weren't.

Talarico is about the same. Both accepted donor money from Israel-linked orgs, Talarico recently from Miriam Adelson. The seemingly minor point that will cost Talarico support in TX is that he doesn't have a wife and kids to campaign with. The state tends to favor image over policy.

🤷‍♀️ TX electorate likes the center-left. Already played out in the 2024 primary. Roland Gutierrez (progressive) got 16% of the vote. Allred's US House record is fine: co-sponsored the Trans Bill of Rights, sufficiently anti-Israel for Ted Cruz to attack him on it. Con: disappeared for months in 2024.

Texan opinion: Crockett is fine. I like her. She's not winning statewide. The only possible upside would be more turnout for Harris County but that's a longshot.

Paxton is insanely unpopular. Allred already outperformed Harris. W/him but okay with Talarico, too. Hoping we get 2018 pt 2 but a win.

I do also have Celiac disease so if you don't and this happens to you, just go to a doctor.

This is, unfortunately, just how my stomach works 😀

My earliest experience with it, tbf, is me unceremoniously running to the bathroom during dinner when I was 8ish after my new stepmom tried to force me to eat canned (?) beets even though I was iffy about them. Shady digestive system. Now it's just a quick "haha, nope" sometimes.

I was confused b/c I'm back in TX and Real ID is just the standard $35 one but I'm remembering that when I was in WA State they had two tiers of drivers' licenses... basic was $60 and enhanced was $100.

One W for TX residents.
