16) LIFE by Knower
I also love this album. It really plays around with this electro-jazz brostep thing and I mess with it a ton. I have a soft spot for that cheesy melodic dubstep and this scratches that itch in the strangest way.

15) Knower Forever by Knower
I looooove this album :) If I had to describe it, I'd call it jazz-funk-metal fusion , but the album changes sound pretty drastically song to song. Please listen to this. It's extremely energetic and it doesn't take itself too seriously.

14) In The Death Car EP by 16bit
This is a weird one. It's an early dubstep release, but it's more energetic than the dubstep of its time. The sound design is of its time though (2009), and I like it for that. It's in your face, but not overwhelming like modern dubstep.

13) Heavy Weather by Weather Report
Another classic. This time it's jazz fusion. Really like Birdland, Teen Town, and Palladium. They're great catchy and energetic tunes. The other songs bore me a little, but they're far from bad.

12) Headhunters by Herbie Hancock
Absolutely classic Jazz-Funk classic. I like it because it really leans into that funk side rather than the jazz. I love jazz, but it rarely gets as groovy as this. Love the solos and everything.

11) Hardscrabble by The Flashbulb
Brostep/IDM album. I have to say, I do like the brostep elements more than the IDM ones. I'm sorry, just not a big ambient guy. But I do like the IDM elements. The rhythmic style that's emblematic of IDM works here

2 track dubstep EP. I find 16bit to be an interesting group. They kinda are a stepping stone from the calm ambient type of dubstep to the brostep stuff we see today. I like their stuff, it's catchy and fun. I admire the rough edges.

9) frailty by Jane Remover
Honestly I have to listen to this more. This hyperpop(?), I don't know what to think of it. It's mildly boring to me, but I might just need to listen to it more

7) Fakevox by Plus-Tech Squeeze Box
Nice and playful glitch pop/rock(?) record. Not much to say honestly. I do love the album cover though, it's cute.

6) Face Tat by Zach Hill
This album was produced alongside Andy Morin. Yeah, 2 of the 3 death grips members worked on this and it shows. It's a noise rock album that heavily features electronics. It's great. If you loved steroids (crouching tiger hidden gabber megamix), you'll like this. I think

5) The Distance Between Zero And One by Nerve
This is a banger dnb album with fully live (I think) drums. Nerve was started by Jojo Mayer, a jazz drummer that turned to electronic music. This is labeled as "atmospheric" but it's not atmospheric in the traditional sense. It goes. It goes in hard.

4) The Brecker Bros. By The Brecker Bothers
Nice and chill jazz-funk album. I got introduced to it by the stupidly fast version of some skunk funk. Check it out, it's kinda funny ngl.

3) boy irl girl url by Meganeko
This release brings back memories dude. This is a complextro standout. It's extremely melodic the entire way through and it makes itself unique. Also the title is fun.

2) Blues & Roots by Charles Mingus
One of my favorite jazz records of all time. I love Mingus so very very much. What I like about his work is that balance between chaos and form. I love the collective improv thing I hear a lot in his work. It really sounds like the song is breaking and coming back.
