I use Obsidian and it is FILLED with my RPG ideas! I keep dropping stuff in, but never organizing them. One day I will start working them together into something cool...

I bought the Core Rulebook and Bestiary back when they were released but STILL have not run or played it. I have barely skimmed them!

Those are a great place to look to when doing this, yea. It can clue you into things you need to think about that you can miss, etc. I remember using the 3e Forgotten Realms setting book for this!
