I can agree with you now after reading a significant number of books in the fantasy/romantasy world. But it was my gateway series (and probably many others) into the genre. I will always give it respect for that.

The minute I finished reading each book in 2022: 5 🌟

Now: solid 3 🌟

Aahhhh! Such a great lineup!
I've read (and loved) the Great Alone and WTMH. Onyx Storm is on my to-read list, hopefully I can avoid spoilers

My love of reading has come from getting older and realizing that I can slow down, say no to things, and take time for myself.

The Great Alone is such a wonderful read. I haven't read any Sanderson books and am looking to do so this year

The Shepherd King duology was a 5 🌟 series for me last year. Also, the Night and It's Moon series by Piper CJ - exceptional, completed series. The audio versions for both series were great as well.

Lol. Most of my KU reading is stuff I don't want sitting on my bookshelf when my mom comes over!! And it's great to find a 'palate cleanser' book after you've read something heavy or lengthy.
If you haven't discovered The Bonds That Tie series, it's a really good (smutty why choose) series

Finally reading The Women. 1/3 in and it is heartwrenching.
Also listening to City of Brass.
