Despite the financial stress, I've had time to work on myself and feel joy again. I haven't felt like myself in years!! It's been a really long time since I've felt this clear-headed and I'm grateful.

It's nice to not worry for a change and know that something good's coming along.

I've also applied to a ton of design gigs; full-time, part-time, and everything in between. All I've done for the last six months is stress about finances, but recently, I've felt confident in my work and that it'll get me to where I need to be.

It has been difficult transitioning into the freelance world, but I’ve been so much happier since making this decision. I’m ready to enjoy creating again.

It’s been confusing to lose my passion and joy for design— an industry I was once so eager to be a part of— but I’m grateful to my close family & friends who’ve supported my decision.

I was proud of some of the work I’ve made and what I’ve learned, but I was forcing myself to be creative everyday on projects that weren’t bringing me joy. My work, mental health, and spirit suffered in the process.

I quit my 9 - 5 agency job to pursue freelance (& other creative endeavors) full-time. Leaving my safety net of security & stability was not an easy decision, but my personal projects and life took a backseat.
