Hmm. I suppose the Wilson memo's "Watch Committee" could be lying RE: 'no progress' to lock out Wilson, BUT (big but), Eric Davis, Semivan et al are all still adamant there's no ARV group of note. you'd think they'd know (?)

Giant, history/science-changing realities but after decades of suppression nobody but the fringe cares. Add in a few bona fide death threats for kicks I doubt it's that difficult to hide big things. But I share your cynicism.
