I need to post here more often. Here are my thoughts as Valentine's Day approaches.
As Valentine's Day approaches, I've been thinking a lot about relationships and my past. I've had some really bad relationships, y'all, to put it mildly. There have been good times in all of my relationships, of course, but I've been cheated on and abused physically, emotionally, sexually, and financially. I've been taken for granted and taken advantage of. I love love and I told my therapist I don't know if I attract bad partners for me or am attracted to them, but either way, something has to give. So, this time around, I dedicate myself to being much more picky. If that means I'm single longer than I was last time (3 years), so be it. I'm on a journey of self-love, and I think my choice in partners has to be an extension of that. As someone told me recently, I need to protect my peace. Part of that is being more particular with my future partners, and another part of that is being open and honest about my truth, especially with those I care about (y'all). If anyone is going through something similar, please know I understand and I'm here to support you. If you ever need to talk to someone, I’m here. ❤

Today, I have an interview for an Executive Assistant position. It's not my ultimate passion area, but I do enjoy helping people, organizing things, and keeping busy with different tasks every day, so it's a good fit, I think!
