I understand the ramifications perfectly well. However, even with those ramifications, people have to eat. Scolding people for not doing enough doesn't help. Come up with viable solutions that will solve these issues and more people will get out there.

That sounds great for people who can afford to strike. Not everyone can. Capitalism has set us up to not be able to stop working for any length of time without losing our jobs, or housing. The same goes for sustainable protests.
