Not that I was asked, but yes. Democrats seem to be acting as if this is politics as normal, and that the GOP will come to their senses and compromise. It *won’t* happen. What’s required is a full bodied defense of democratic & humanistic values, which I don’t think we’re seeing.

By forcefeeding the public a whitewashed version of exceptionalism, Trump and the Heritage Foundation have made it clear we are just like the rest of the world, by showing we are as vulnerable to authoritarianism and taken in by vague promises of a return to a glorious but fictional past.

It's starting to feel like every fight I've cared about has suddenly been lost/forfeited. This one will get less than a shrug from most Americans.

I applaud this. To even better support artists, though, go to Bandcamp, which gives artists over 80% of revenue from sales (and promotes the artists). Artists control their prices and listeners can have a stake through ownership.
